Yokohama have released the latest addition to the Y67 off-the-road line of tyres for underground mining.
The Y67 comes in three new tread patterns and are available in sizes 36×11-15 24-ply, 32×15-15 28-ply, 35×15-15 32-ply and 38×16-15 36-ply.
Tom Clauer, Tokohama corporate manager of commercial and OTR product planning, said the tyre was designed for the smaller, low-seam category, providing enhanced durability and extending service life with minimal downtime.
The tyre features cut and chip resistance for durability due to its advanced tread composition, while a non-directional tread design provides traction on tough, rocky underground surfaces.
It has enhanced balance between cut resistance and traction while providing a longer tread life due to an increased rubber-to-void ratio.
In addition, enhanced performance in high-pressure applications are made possible by dual bead construction that makes the use of a core optional, which reduces costs and balances the required strength of the bead and carcass.
