A worker has been injured this morning at the Boggabri coal mine.
It is understood a truck driver was trapped in his vehicle after an interaction with a dozer on the site.
A spokesperson for Boggabri Coal operator Idemitsu confirmed the event, stating that that driver was freed from his vehicle soon after the incident.
"Boggabri Coal confirms a minor vehicle incident involving a water truck occurred at the mine site at approximately 6:30am today," a spokesperson told Australian Mining.
"The truck driver suffered no injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution. He was discharged from hospital this morning."
According to a source close to the incident police were being escorted on to the site as of this morning for further investigation.
Last year the mine saw an unfortunate fatal incident at the site, when a contractor died from a crush injury while operating an EWP basket.
