Wildcat Resources non-executive director Alex Hewlett has resigned after four-and-a-half years at the company.

“I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with an amazing team and to have been part of such an exciting discovery,” Hewlett said.

“I remain a significant and supportive shareholder and am excited by the future value proposition at (the) Tabba Tabba (project).”

Wildcat has begun searching for an appropriate replacement and will announce a new non-executive director when finalised.

“Alex has been a valued board member over the past four-and-a-half years and played a significant role in the growth of the business to where it is today,” Wildcat Resources chair Jeff Elliott said.

“We extend our gratitude to Alex for his service and commitment, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours. We look forward to Alex’s continued support as a shareholder.

“The board will ensure the company has a suitable mix of skills and an appropriate balance of executive and non-executive directors as we continue our evolution from explorer to project developer.”

Hewlett’s departure coincides with the previously announced appointments of Ajanth (AJ) Saverimutto moving from non-executive director to managing director and Samuel Ekins moving from managing director to technical director.

Tim Manners will also commence as Wildcat’s chief financial officer at the end of the month.
