Colliery Saves $100,000+ with Compressed Air Upgrade: Free Case Study

Compressed air is one of the most convenient, yet expensive utilities in underground mining. Used for mine de-watering, stone-dusting, cleaning, ventilation and operation of mining equipment, compressed air is an essential and safe source of energy underground.

Commissioned by the Myuna Colliery of Centennial Coal, this free case study looks at the installation of a new two-stage air compressor in place of two single stage compressors. The results, among other things, include savings of more than $100,000.
