Compass Minerals were looking for a feeding and crushing solution to meet their site specifications, production goals and reliability requirements. This case study shows how they were able to do this with the right design, equipment and on-going service and support.
Compass Minerals were seeking to replace failing vibratory feeders and sizers with new equipment to fit into an existing structure at their mineral processing site. The equipment had to be reliable, meet production goals and withstand highly variable conditions. They installed two Apron Feeders that accept run of pond material from a hopper and meter it to individual DDC-Sizers which break the material down in preparation for processing in other parts of the plant. This solution not only met all the customer’s requirements, but they benefit from a relationship that provides service and support for the life of the equipment.
