Webinars have become more important than ever in 2020.

To help members optimise their existing efforts and assist those starting out on their journey in this space, Austmine’s Marketing & Communications Tribe focused on Designing and Optimising Webinars for their July Meetup.

Speakers:

Sheldon Varcoe, Membership Manager NSW & SA for Austmine

Sheldon has considerable knowledge of the mining and METS sectors and his experience ranges across sales and marketing, project management, business development, communications, international business and research.

Throughout his time at Austmine, Sheldon has delivered significant value for members through the development and execution of strategic marketing and membership campaigns, helping companies around Australia to educate the industry on their capabilities and expertise.

Sheldon is particularly driven to help Australian METS companies succeed in the international context, and is heavily involved in the organisation and execution of Austmine’s Mining Missions. He played a major role in the completion of the APEC METS Sector Development Project and has developed industry workshops and webinars surrounding export opportunities and overseas mining market information.

In his role, Sheldon focuses on supporting the business growth and success of Austmine’s members in New South Wales and South Australia.

Amy Morison, Head of Content, COG Advertising

Amy Morison is the Head of Content for COG Advertising, a specialist b2b creative agency and sister company to Prime Creative Media, the publisher of Australian Mining, Quarry, Australian Mining – Safe to Work and Oil and Gas Today magazines. Amy has managed a variety of marketing content for clientele within the mines and resources sector under COG Advertising, from industry-specific white papers and article content to video case studies, websites, and commercial animation. More recently she has managed a series of webinars hosted by the Australian Mining publication together with clients that include Nokia, Rockwell Automation and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Laura White, Head of Marketing, Asia Pacific for Metso Outotec

Laura White is currently Head of Marketing, Asia Pacific for Metso Outotec.  With a BA in languages and a postgrad in communications, advertising and marketing, Laura has worked in the mining industry for over 15 years.  She was previously Head of Marketing for Outotec in South East Asia Pacific.  Apart from her 15 years+ in mining, Laura has previously worked in the aviation and IT industries.   Following the very recent merger of Metso and Outotec on 01 July, Laura and her marketing team are looking forward to an innovative, interesting and busy time ahead!
