WA staffing nightmare

SALARIES are high in Western Australian (WA), but one in three employers experience staff retention problems, according to a recent report.

Employees in WA are reaping the benefits of the booming state economy, with about 75% of employers highlighting financial rewards as the key staff engagement tool, according a Hudson Report: HR Insights.

The survey of 384 WA employers show financial incentives overshadows flexible work options in the State.

Mentoring and high potential programs were highlighted as the two least popular engagement initiatives among employers in the west.
