Valmec locks in gas, infrastructure contracts

Valmec has won new services and construction contracts in the gas and infrastructure sectors worth more than $14 million.

The contracts include commissioning support services for Jemena for both the Mount Isa and Phillip Creek compression facilities as part of the Northern Gas Pipeline project.

In addition, Valmec will provide compression equipment overhaul and maintenance services for APA Group on the Sole Orbost gas project in Victoria.

Steve Dropulich, Valmec managing director, commented: “Leveraging our unique self-perform and end-to-end capabilities, which now includes asset integrity testing, Valmec remains well placed to participate in the significant upstream energy and infrastructure spending expected to be committed during financial year 2019.”

Valmec will also provide construction, fabrication and maintenance works on Water Corporation’s facilities in Norseman and Bold Park in Western Australia.

The contacts are expected to start immediately with the majority of works scheduled for completion by early 2019.
