Toxfree Solutions has won a five year contract to provide industrial and waste management services for BHP’s Olympic Dam mine.
The contract, slated to begin in June, includes management of all waste generated from mining, industrial cleaning, quarantine services, landfill management, and recycling services.
Steve Gostlow, Toxfree’s managing director, said this win will reinforce its capability to service the resources industry.
“Our core strategy is focused on providing integrated industrial service and waste management solutions for clients like BHP Billiton,” Gostlow said.
“We’ve been able to demonstrate to client’s improvement in productivity and cost savings without compromising our values of safety, reliability, and sustainability and we are very optimistic about the opportunity to demonstrate our capability to BHP through the award of the Olympic Dam contract.”
This win comes on the back of Toxfree signing a two year extension for its existing contract with Chevron, extending operations through to 2021.
“Toxfree has an impeccable safety track record,” the company added, “having just completed six years without lost time injury on Barrow Island.”
While he declined to outline the value of the new contracts, Gostlow did state the company’s “contract pipeline remains strong with over $80 million of contracts”.
