TAKRAF Group expands its presence in Australia

TAKRAF Group’s service and maintenance offering in Australia is set to be enhanced with the opening of another warehouse in the second quarter of 2024 to support the west coast.

TAKRAF is opening another warehouse in Australia, located in Perth, for its two brands TAKRAF and DELKOR, and is planning to further expand its footprint in the services, maintenance and aftermarket business in the country by adding more specialists to its existing complement.

These developments are in line with TAKRAF’s Australian growth strategy and its commitment to investing in the country by bringing its full suite of product offerings, including aftermarket services, closer to the client.

Having dedicated service and maintenance warehouses in Australia providing aftermarket services will significantly reduce both parts delivery and response times, while a value-add of regionally-located warehouses and project execution offices is the unique understanding of clients’ needs and local operating conditions under which machines function.

TAKRAF Australia provides services to the whole of Australia supporting both the TAKRAF and DELKOR product lines.

In addition, as a leading supplier of equipment and systems for mining, comminution, material handling, liquid/solid separation and beneficiation, TAKRAF Australia also has project execution offices in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney, from where all Australian-based projects are managed.

Going forward, the new Perth warehouse will provide additional support to the west coast, with all warehouses supporting TAKRAF’s unique portfolio of specialised mining systems and equipment and bulk material handling technologies, and the DELKOR range of liquid/solid separation and wet processing equipment and systems.

Aftermarket services provided by TAKRAF Australia’s service and maintenance team include:

  • spare parts, wear parts, special tools and stock management
  • local based engineering and design, with global support, when needed
  • advanced structural analysis and finite element analysis
  • asset life extension, including refurbishments as an alternative to the purchase of new equipment and equipment relocation
  • total life cycle engineering support
  • routine and ad-hoc maintenance and site assistance for troubleshooting
  • continuous condition monitoring through regular inspections
  • complex structural repairs, on site repair support and upgrades.

As one of the largest and most competent full-service suppliers of equipment and systems for the mining and associated industries, aftermarket support is a crucial element of TAKRAF’s total product lifecycle support.

Its highly experienced services and maintenance teams located across the globe support the group’s own previously supplied equipment, as well as equipment that is no longer supported by its original supplier.

TAKRAF’s proven track in the provision of customised maintenance solutions includes the change out of ring gears and drives; and the conversion of crushers and high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGRs) with improved wear protection.

Particularly noteworthy are its refurbishments and upgrades of bulk material handling equipment such as stackers and reclaimers (in all various forms).

Based upon a thorough assessment of the existing status of the machine, TAKRAF teams develop an engineered solution to extend lifetime, upgrade to latest standards and/or increase capacity.

“A key cost management strategy, especially in challenging economic times, is regular and proactive maintenance, which also plays an integral role in ensuring safety on mines, as well as environmental compliance and improved energy efficiency,” TAKRAF Australia managing director Ivan Agostini said.

“Ensuring the proper operation of equipment not only makes it last longer, but it also increases the efficiency of your system and reduces costs and unplanned outages.

“We are proud to support our local mining and industrial processing industry in this respect with the opening of another warehouse to make the expertise and experience of our TAKRAF and DELKOR specialists that much more accessible to our client base.”
