RungePincockMinarco launch new diamond mining scheduling software

RPM has released its new open pit diamonds XPAC scheduling software for miners.

The company stated this new program is "a commercial-off-the-shelf product that is configurable to the specific requirements of diamond mines".

It uses a standard process driven interface to make planning activities easier to control and more cost effective to maintain, RPM said.

Richard Matthews, RPM's chief, said "the streamlining of the entire mine scheduling process from geology to scheduling, haulage and product optimisation built on RPM's scheduling solution XPAC in a script free environment is a game changer".

Late last year RPM released its latest version of XACT, its short term mining scheduling application, which allowed for greater interaction with resources mapping company Maptek's geological design application Vulcan.

It also allowed for greater integration of all of RPM's scheduling software.

“It’s no secret that to get the best planning results, you need to have a seamless flow across your planning horizons. This deeper integration ensures our clients can use the functionality that has been specifically designed for the horizon they work in, but without doing so in isolation and sacrificing planning collaboration," RPM's CTO Paul Beesley said.
