Royal Resources sign native title agreement for Razorback

Royal Resources has signed a native title mining agreement with the Ngadjuri people for its Razorback iron ore project.

The agreement contains short and long term opportunities that will provide protection for the native culture as well as educational scholarships and employment.

Marcus Flis, Royal’s managing director, the exact details of the agreement are confidential, but added that the miner looks forward to a long relationship with the Ngadjuri people.

Following the agreement, cultural survey will be undertaken as a prelude to drilling on the project.

The project itself is a large magnetite deposit located around 240km north of Adelaide.

It had a maiden JORC inferred resource of 277 million tonnes at grade of 26% iron ore in August last year, which rose to 537.2 million tonnes at a grade of 25.5% iron ore in July this year.
