THE third annual AJM Hot Rock Energy conference will be held from 1 to 2 August in Adelaide.
The conference will bring together industry and government leaders to discuss policy and technologies for extracting underground heat to generate electricity.
The conference comes at a time when ALP’s Federal leader Kevin Rudd has promised $50 million in assistance for geothermal energy explorers.
Speakers will include Paul Holloway, the South Australian Minister responsible for mineral resources development and Dr Anthony Budd, project leader with Geoscience Australia’s Geothermal Energy Project. Other speakers include Dr Prame Chopra, Director of spatial information consultants Earthinsite and Adrian Larking, Director of geothermal energy explorer Green Rock Energy.
