Regis delivers record profit

Regis profit

Regis Resources has reported a record statutory net profit after tax of $254 million for the 2024–25 financial year (FY25), underpinned by robust gold prices.

The gold miner delivered EBITDA of $780 million at a margin of 47 per cent, more than doubling the prior year, while operating cashflow hit a record $821 million.

Cash and bullion on hand closed at $517 million, with the company debt free following a $300 million repayment.

“FY25 demonstrated continued reliable operating performance translating into record cash outcomes,” Regis Resources managing director Jim Beyer said.

“We ran to plan, generating record EBITDA of $780m, record $821m of operating cash flow, repaid $300m of debt, and closed the year with a record $517m in cash and bullion.

“Reflecting that strong performance, the directors have declared a fully franked final dividend of 5 cents per share, taking total fully franked dividends declared since 2013 to $585m.”

Gold sales rose 30 per cent year-on-year to a record $1.65 billion, driven by 375,000 ounces sold at an average realised price of $4387/oz – up 47 per cent on FY24. Production totalled 373,000 ounces at an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of $2531/oz.

FY26 guidance is for production of 350,000–380,000 ounces at an AISC of $2610–2990 per ounce, including a $170 per ounce non-cash stockpile draw.

“In FY26 we will stay focused on reliable, consistent and safe production with cost discipline,” Beyer said.

“We will allocate capital to the highest return projects across our business, optimise asset performance to sustain cash generation and continue to strengthen our balance sheet.”

Growth capital is expected to be $180–195 million, with exploration spend of $50–60 million.

The company has also established an undrawn $300 million revolving credit facility to provide additional financial flexibility.
