CBH Resources has announced a 225% increase to mineral resources at the company’s Rasp mine in Broken Hill.
According to CBH, an increase in both grade and tonnage has resulted in a 225% increase in the zinc and lead content of the mine’s mineral resource.
The revised mineral resource of the project now stands at 16.5 million tonnes, with 6.6% zinc, 5.1% lead, and 89 g/t silver.
The silver content of the resource has increased by 330%, the company said.
The upgraded resource levels underline the company’s belief in the future of the mine, CBH Resources chief executive and managing director Stephen Dennis said.
“Our confidence in Rasp continues to grow, and we have no doubt that the value and potential of the project has been considerably enhanced as a result of this very significant resource upgrade,” he said.
“The development of Rasp mine remains a very important part of our future strategy.”
