Ultraspin at M&E Exhibition

Ultraspin Technology will feature innovative new oily water treatments for the mining sector on Stand 1027 at the 2009 NSW Mining & Energy (M&E) exhibition at the Muswellbrook Showground from September 22-24.

Products on display will include: a new oil skimmer that is constructed from stainless steel and is efficient and robust and a new aeration tank that polishes water to meet ever-tightening EPA limits.

Ultraspin will also showcase its small packaged oily water separation system.

According to Ultrspin, the system is skid-mounted for simplified on-site installation and is used on mine sites for light and heavy vehicle wash areas; fuel bunded areas; maintenance workshops; and remote power plant groundwater remediation.

The company says Ultraspin technology achieves high separation efficiency by using hydrocyclones to induce a vortex effect that separates oil at more than 1000 times the force of gravity, making its units more effective than plate pack separators.

The technology enables users to meet the discharge requirements for total petroleum hydrocarbons, and oil and grease, Ultrspin said.
