Tsubaki unveils latest transmission components

Tsubaki Australia will roll out its latest components for chain and power transmission for mining applications on Stand 2052 during the 2010 Queensland Mining and Engineering (QME) exhibition. One of Tsubaki’s new products are power locks, which are keyless locking devices up to 400mm in size. These are ideal for locking in large or small sprockets, gears, pulleys, timing cams and rollers. Easily installed, the units slide into position and offer a keyless, shaft-hub lock that will simultaneously handle both high torque and thrust while increasing shaft strength. Another reliable product is the electric power cylinder , which is a completely self-contained, motorised linear actuator unit. Used when accurate linear movement is needed to control the flow and direction of travel of minerals on belts, chutes and loading facilities, the cylinders have shown their greatest worth in areas where the reliability of hydraulics and pneumatics is a problem. The new models’ compact size and ease of installation ideally suits them to mining applications where a self-contained linear actuator is needed, with no leaky reservoir, hoses, tube fittings and so on. The units require little maintenance and are mainly used outdoors where there is a requirement for linear motion.
