Malcolm Thompson has released Aquaplus’ latest submersible pump range.
The new SSP series consists of cutter pumps, grinder pumps and non-clog pumps.
They are designed for the heavy duty applications requiring the pumping of liquid with solid contaminants including sewerage pump stations, septic systems and wastewater treatment.
The pump’s abrasion resistant casings and impellers are constructed from cast iron, and have thermal overload protection as standard.
On top of this, all pumps come with a triplex seal system, which provides high levels of motor and oil chamber protection from pumped materials.
It features double sided mechanical seals with silicon carbide faces (both at the top and bottom) which run in an oil filled chamber.
A third seal isolates the motor from the slurry.
The grinder pumps come with an integrated grinding mechanism that performs 80 000 shredding actions per minute.
The non-clog and cutter pumps come with a dynamically balanced non clog impeller.
The cutter pumps also have a tungsten carbide cutting tip and an emission cutting suction cover.
