Semco unveils transit mixers for tunnels

Semco released the Fiori DB 560T Transit Mixer which is designed to haul concrete down tunnels and in underground mines.

It has an extended wheel base, and a hydrostatic drive with four speed ranges, all wheel drive and three steering modes for extra maneuverability in confined areas.

The mixer features an operator station that can revolve 180 degrees, allowing the operator is always facing the direction of travel, which is important in outfall tunnels where machines have to reverse some distance.

The DB 560T mixer has a 300 litre onboard water reservoir and pressure operated cleaning hose system which allows the operator to adjust water content.

It has a carrying capacity of 5.5 cubic metres.

It comes with a hydraulic actuated rear shutter to seal the drums to prevent loss or spillage of the mix on adverse gradients.

This is a benefit for slurry and sloppy mortar mixes for applications such as shotcreting.
