Rotary blasthole products

Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Australia will display its 75,000 lb class Pit Viper PV275 rotary blasthole rig, part of its high-tech Pit Viper Series- on Stand 9096 at the 2009 NSW Mining & Energy (M&E) exhibition at the Muswellbrook Showground from September 22-24.

“Visitors to our stand will be able to learn about our latest Pit Viper 235, which has just been released, and also view one of our PV275 rigs which will be on display,” Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Australia’s NSW Regional Manager Rob Swan said.

“Our stand will have a strong focus on our large and mid-sized rotary blasthole drill rig range.

“We have sold a number of PV275 rigs to leading coal mines in the Hunter Valley, and M&E will be an ideal opportunity for us to promote our technology, our service and our support capabilities to the NSW mining industry,” he said.

Atlas Copco’s experienced and dedicated team in the Hunter Valley provide total sales and support from the one location.

In addition to highlighting its Pit Viper range and other products from its mining, gas and exploration equipment range, Atlas Copco will display its Secoroc rotary drill rig consumables.

“The recent interest in exploration and gas drilling had drawn attention to Atlas Copco’s range of deep hole rigs. We have CBM rigs operating in the Bowen and Gunnedah basins and I would hope the Hunter will follow soon.

“We are continuing to expand our operations in the Hunter Valley, and M&E NSW will allow us to talk directly to existing and potential customers about the full range of capabilities we can offer them,” Swan said.
