Ready Workforce taking mining sector expertise

Ready Workforce will showcase its mining sector expertise in sourcing, selecting, assessing, managing and retaining high quality workforces on Stand 2170 at the 2009 NSW Mining & Energy (M&E) exhibition at the Muswellbrook Showground from September 22-24.

Ready Workforce, which is the specialist industrial recruitment division of the Chandler Macleod group, has worked with metal ore, coal, minerals, oil and gas clients throughout Australia.

The company offers staffing solutions for both permanent and temporary positions and currently has more than 14,000 on-hired staff working across Australia.

“People-related expenses are the third highest cost component in the mining industry so it is essential that the investment a company makes in its people harnesses maximum productivity,” Ready Workforce’s Singleton manager, Chris Dickson, said.

“To achieve this, it’s equally critical to partner with a provider, such as Ready Workforce, with significant experience in the mining industry and the ability to apply an innovative approach that gives genuine, tangible results,” Dickson said.

As a member of the Chandler Macleod group, which is celebrating 50 years in Australia this year, Ready Workforce also offers clients access to a range of unique psychometric assessments, and occupational health and safety and human resources consulting solutions.

“These are designed to enable organisations to deliver on their strategy, reduce workforce risk and, ultimately, grow their organisation’s profits,” Dickson said.
