Pioneer Drilling to feature new fleet at QREX 2009

Pioneer Drilling will unveil new additions to its BMA mine-compliant drilling rigs on Stand 3076 during the 2009 Queensland Resources Expo (QREX) trade exhibition at the Rockhampton Showgrounds from July 21-23.

The Rockhampton company, which has recently moved to a new depot at Bouldercombe, is a leading provider of Australia-wide geotechnical and environmental drilling services.

The company’s geotechnical drilling expertise is used to investigate existing sub-surface conditions and materials and assess risks posed by site conditions with the data helping determine pre-construction engineering and design requirements.

Geotechnical drilling is also used to define the location, movement, depth and soil impact of ground water.

Pioneer Drilling also offers environmental drilling services that determine the existence of contamination in soil and ground water.

Some of the drilling methods offered are:

• solid stem augur (100 mm, 200 mm and 450 mm)

• rotary air

• symmetrix (for drilling through overburden)

• wash bore

• HNMLC

• 4C coring wireline and HQ wireline

• direct push U50s, U63s, U75s and U100s.

Geotechnical engineers and drillers will be on Pioneer Drilling’s QREX stand to answer questions and discuss the company’s services.
