Northern Light Technologies (NLT) has announced revised documentation detailing the light output on four of their cap lamps, including the award-winning Polaris.
Known for their continued adoption and innovation within battery, optics and LED technology,
NLT has adjusted LUX levels to the following, with measurements taken at one meter:
· Eclipse Minimum LUX 3700, Typical LUX 5000
· Polaris/Genesis Minimum LUX 4000, Typical LUX 5500
· Rebel: Low-beam Minimum LUX 3000, High-beam Minimum LUX 11,000
NLT brings over 25 years of innovation and experience to the industry – the first dry cell battery pack with smart-charging technology, the first to incorporate NiMH technology, the first two-way text messaging in a cap lamp, and the first MSHA and CSA approved all-in-one, the Polaris.
"NLT is committed to helping mines and other industries lower their lighting energy costs and maintenance expenses," Heidi Levitt, president of Northern Light Technologies said.
"The increased performance of our cap lamps can improve payback in terms of longevity, compared to the previous generation of cap lamps and strengthens the argument to replace antiquated lighting technologies."
