Mining pumps by Graco

Graco Australia will release a new Conductive Polypropylene Pump that can be grounded for use in hazardous areas at QME.

The new Husky 1050 is a 1" inch positive-displacement, Air Operated Double-Diaphragm Pump that does not have any aluminium in its external wetted parts and is ATEX-certified. The Husky 1050 range also includes Aluminium, Polypropylene, PVDF, Stainless Steel and Hastelloy models.

The pumps replace the Husky 1040 range and are described as 30% more efficient while also delivering material at up to 50 gpm for a 20% increase in fluid flow over the old Husky 1040.

The pumps’ re-engineered diaphragms are said to have up to five times longer life compared to other Double Diaphragm Pumps in their class.

Applications include drum fluid transfers, fluid unloading, chemical evacuations, dewatering and sump evacuations and transferring fluids from their original containers to smaller receptacles.

Other features of the Husky 1050 range include: a unique, stall-free air valve that can be serviced in under 10 minutes; low pulsation due to fast-changeover, quick-snap pilot valves; optional pulse counts for measuring cycles; runaway controls that shut the unit down when the product being pumped has been exhausted; and air efficiencies that show savings of between 20% and 55% over competitive products.
