Energy Power Systems Australia launches mobile power generator

Energy Power Systems Australia (EPSA) has developed a mobile power generator designed for work in remote areas.

The company identified a market for mobile power generators after the 2007 bushfires, which caused extensive power outages in the regional industrial and private sectors.

According to EPSA, the generator is designed to move from location to location over a wide range of terrains, including rugged off-road terrain only accessible with four-wheel drive vehicles.

The power generators are also able to operate in the extreme heat conditions and be operated by a range of personnel.

The mobile energy generator is based around a trailer-mounted single-phase Olympian GP14SP 14 kVA generator set and is backed by the national Caterpillar dealer network.

EPSA also fit a double-walled fuel tank, a 12V pump to manually top up the fuel tank, dual standby batteries, outlet plugs and leads with earth leakage protection, a static battery charger and a 240 volt engine heater kit.
