Endress+Hauser releases industrial waste water analyser

Endress+Hauser has released the CA72 analyser for continuous and batch monitoring of total organic carbon (TOC) in industrial waste water.

The CA72 analyser uses high temperature to break down complex carbons enabling the TOC/TC (total organic carbon or total carbon) levels in wastewater to be monitored.

With measuring times of 7-12 minutes in batch mode and 3-15 minutes in continuous mode.

The measuring range: is 0.25-12,000 mg/l and the instrument is optimised for applications with varying pH values and very high salinity.

Endress+Hauser’s high temperature TOC analyser uses an exchangeable combustion unit to reduce maintenance downtime by 80 per cent, and a unique rotating shaft filter to eliminate blockages by particles larger than 200 microns.

This allows the water and smaller particles to pass through, with the larger material being diverted to waste. Further reductions in maintenance downtime can be achieved by installing a removable salt trap.

With the CA72, the combustion unit can be easily removed and replaced.

This is in contrast to conventional designs which are built with fixed ovens.

This allows the instrument to quickly start up again, reducing combustion unit maintenance time by up to five hours.

Endress+Hauser’s robust CA72 is ideally suited to monitoring industrial wastewater and raising an alarming when pre-set limit values are exceeded.
