Sperian Protection has unveiled the new Prospector Miner’s Belts.
The personal protective equipment belts are designed to carry emergency breathing apparatus and other tools for workers in the underground mining industry.
The Prospector Miner’s Belts feature a longer battery strap to allow for maximum adjustment of the wearer’s self rescuer unit and battery pack.
This also allows users to wear the rescue units on the side, rather than the back, eliminating discomfort and allowing for easier usage.
Sperian’s lightweight belt has an adjustable waist strap with a wide padded back and 3D mesh that allows for greater sweat absorption as well as lumbar support.
Added to this are quick connect buckles which lets the wear don the belt in restricted environments.
Both the battery packs and self rescue units are mounted on the built, which minimises sag.
The Prospector Miner’s belt features loops that hold the battery strap in place as well as additional loops for hanging tools.
The belt is made from heavy duty polyester webbing and is designed to be used in conjunction with full body harnesses.
