Eaton has released its range of Moeller NZM moulded circuit breakers with on-board diagnostic functions.
The circuit breakers protect cables, motors and wiring on levels from main distribution to loads.
The new on board diagnostic function means that information can be recorded, displayed on site and then passed on to higher level systems in the event of a fault, during commissioning and when in operation.
The recording feature in the internal memory uncovers the cause of the tripping and records the status of each individual phase in detail.
Each circuit breaker also records the history of individual trips with the most recent ten events provided in detail so the source of faults can be localized quickly.
Modified setting of the protection parameters can be stored in conjunction with events which enables organizations to hand diagnostics processes.
