Bestech Australia has released the KP series of pore pressure gauges from Japanese manufacturer TML.
The devices are used to measure pore water pressure in ground, sheet piles, piles and boreholes.
According to the company, the model KPA-PA is attached to a pile or diaphragm wall and buried in the ground to measure the pore water pressure.
Conversely, The KPB-PA is buried directly into a borehole to measure pore water pressure in bedrock.
Bestech says the pore pressure gauges have a dual structure that makes them highly resistant to lateral pressure, allowing them provide high-accuracy measurement even if soil pressure changes.
The devices feature a non-linearity of approximately 1% of rated output, a temperature range of zero to 60°C and a 40 µm filter mesh.
All of these models are protected to a rating of IP-68.
