Mining Systems will display its new Collision Avoidance System, CAS430, on Stand 1077. Featuring new triple-patented detection technology, the CAS430 includes EMGs for very near field, highly accurate proximity detection (0- 10m); Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) radar for high accuracy (5- 30m); and RFID for long distances (up to 100m-plus).The new system alerts an underground miner when a vehicle is approaching as well as warning underground mining vehicle operators about personnel and vehicles in their vicinity. Becker’s Collision Avoidance System technology is compatible with all brands of mobile equipment and adaptable to a mine’s requirements. The user-friendly CAS equipment‘s advanced receiver and microcontroller technology has a reputation for reliability and accuracy.
