Aussie Pump releases slurry pumps

Aussie Pump has launched a new heavy duty submersible slurry pump.

Designed with a powerful agitator for moving thick slurries, the pumps agitate and mix concrete and also aid in the reclamation of materials from unused concrete at batch plants.

The KRS slurry pump series offer capacities of up to 3,250 litres per minute flow, and heads as high as 22 metres.

The complete series includes discharge bores from 80mm (3”), all the way through to 150mm (6”).

The KRS series are fitted with 3 phase, heavy duty 4 pole high efficiency motors with thermal and amperage protection against dry running or overloading.

It has been designed so that the liquid passing through the pump also cools the motor, making the pump even suitable for use in applications with low water levels.

Features include a newly developed double mechanical seal with both top and bottom silicon carbide seal faces running in an oil filled chamber for extended life.

The mechanical seal also features a unique ‘oil lifter’ developed to enhance seal performance.

The unique design of the mechanical seal enables the ‘lifter’ to oil the top seal faces, even if the lubricant level drops below manufacturer’s recommendations.

The lubrication cools the seal faces, providing longer life, and reducing wear.

The impeller is made from high chrome cast iron for wear resistance, and the suction cover is made from ductile cast iron.

The shaft seal is a double design, silicon carbide, whilst the pump shaft is 420 grade stainless steel.

Standard equipment includes heavy duty 8 metre cable and an anti wicking block.

The anti wicking block prevents the ingress of water into the motor even if the cable is damaged or worn.
