A.C.E launches rotary position sensors

Automated Control Engineering (ACE) has launched ASM’s PRAS5 range of heavy duty rotary position sensors.

Designed with a rugged housing for harsh mining environments, the Heavy Duty Hall Effect Sensors has a measuring range of 0 to 360 degrees and sealing up to IP69K.

Available in either a stainless steel or aluminium housing, the PRAS5 integrates ‘Hall’ sensing technology and has a 10mm output shaft or alternatively magnetically coupled via an independent magnet allowing for a true non contact measuring system.

Additional M8 fixings allow for temperature capability from -40 degrees Celsius to an optional 120 degrees Celsius.

The PRAS5 can come in angular increments of 15 degrees and has been tested for 100g/11ms shock and 20g vibration.

A wide range of electrical outputs are available including 0.5 – 10V, 4-20mA along with a choice of CANBus outputs including CANopen and J1939.
