Polymetals advances Endeavor restart

Polymetals Endeavor

Polymetals Resources’ Endeavor silver-lead-zinc mine restart is progressing to plan, with the focus currently on advancing surface and underground refurbishment activities.

Several pieces of mobile underground equipment arrived on site during the month of December, leading to initial underground development rehabilitation works commencing with a particular focus on the high-grade upper north lode (UNL).

UNL saw a 21-hole due diligence surface drilling program completed in May 2024, which demonstrated promising mineralisation in all drillholes. Polymetals is now evaluating a potential modification to the mining method to improve extraction and productivity of UNL mineralisation.

The company is also continuing to refurbish the Endeavor surface infrastructure such as the ore feed and grinding circuits, as well as other general refurbishment, fabrication and maintenance of the process plant.

Other refurbishment activities completed during the December quarter include the modification of mine portal entrance to allow access for larger 65t trucks, the inspection and refurbishment of ventilation fans, and ground support rehabilitation works on an underground electrical substation.

“We are very pleased with progress to date with the recommencement of mining activities underground, including our first blasting and trucking activities, and refurbishment of the mill all progressing well,” Polymetals executive chairman Dave Sproule said.

“Early mining of high-grade silver upper north lode ore remains a core strategy, and we are looking forward to a rewarding year ahead for our stakeholders … Near mine exploration also remains in focus, with Carpark drilling and geophysical surveys underway.”

Located near Cobar in New South Wales, Endeavor boasts a 10 year mine life, with a forecast production of 260,000 tonnes (t) of zinc, 10.6 million ounces of silver and 90,000t of lead.
