The Pilbara Development Commission (PDC) recently held the third of its “Pilbara Dialogue” sessions in Karratha as part of the PDC’s role in facilitating the development of a regional vision for the Pilbara.
Western Australian Minister for Regional Development and Lands, Brendon Grylls, addressed the group via video conference, providing delegates an opportunity to engage with the Minister on issues impacting the Pilbara.
The forum also included a presentation of a plan for the Pilbara outlining priorities for the region.
Delegates were asked for feedback and input into the plan.
The plan has been commissioned by the Pilbara Area Consultative Committee and is supported by both the PDC and the Pilbara Regional Council.
CME Member companies including Rio Tinto Iron Ore, BHP Billiton Iron Ore, Fortescue Metals Group, CITIC Pacific Mining, Woodside, North West Shelf Venture and Chevron participated in the forum.
