CITIC Pacific Mining Chief Executive Officer Barry Fitzgerald will deliver on 19 March 2008 a presentation at the Burswood Entertainment Complex on the $5.2 billion Sino Iron project.
Once constructed the Sino Iron project, 100km south west of Karratha in the Pilbara region, will be Australia’s largest magnetite mining and processing operation.
The project has over two billion tonnes of identified magnetite iron ore resources and when fully operational will export 27.6 million tonnes of a mix of magnetite concentrate and pellets each year.
Project life is estimated at 25 years, with production planned to commence in 2009.
The 2008 WA Resources Development Services Directory will be launched at the event with a complimentary copy of the 25th Anniversary edition available to attendees.
