WorleyParsons wins Canadian mining contract extensions

WorleyParsons has won extensions to its oil sands engineering contracts in Canada.

The company came to an agreement with two clients for an additional fives years added to its contracts, effective from July this year.

It has worked with these two unnamed companies for approximately two decades already.

The revenues projected from the extensions are forecast at around $150 million Canadian.

Under the extensions WorleyParsons will provide engineering, procurement, and project delivery services to greenfield and brownfield projects in the Alberta heavy oil sands projects.

"We appreciate the continued faith shown in WorleyParsons and look forward to assisting these forward looking clients to achieve further success with their assets," WorleyParsons CEO Andrew Wood said.
