Valmec has been awarded $25 million of services and construction contracts, including a renewal of its long-term services contract with Origin Energy at the Australia Pacific LNG project in Queensland.
Since the contract started three years ago, Valmec has continued to provide specialist technicians, equipment and parts within its preventative and corrective maintenance services scope.
The renewal extends Valmec’s partnership with Origin to 2020 and based on historical performance has an estimated value of $15 million per annum.
Valmec managing director Steve Dropulich commented, “To have the opportunity to enter our fourth year of this contract, is a testament to the quality and dedication of the Origin and Valmec integrated teams and being able also to deliver value in execution whilst continuing to maintain our high standards in safety performance.”
The contractor also continues to secure sustaining capital works in the energy and infrastructure sector as construction activity ramps up.
These new works, which have a combined value of around $10 million, include: facility construction for Mineral Resources on the Wodgina pipeline; compression installation for Beach Energy in the Cooper Basin; and infrastructure development works for Pilbara Ports Authority and Water Corp.
