World’s largest pull scraper launched

K-Tec Earthmovers has released the 1263 ADT, which it calls the world’s largest earthmoving scraper.

Designed with a heaped capacity of 48 cubic metres and an empty tare weight of 27.6 tonnes, it has been built to be pulled by articulated dump trucks of 36 tonnes and above.

It has a cutting width of 4.26 metres, a three piece blade, a tiltable rack height of 1.37 metres, while it has bucket dimensions of 3.65 metres wide by 2.1 metres in height, and a length of 5.2 metres.

It has also been built for increased efficiencies.

“The hitch system transfers 32% of the scraper load weight directly to the point where the truck is designed to carry weight,” K-Tec stated.
