Watpac wins Sirius nickel project contract

Watpac has won the contract to build the tailings storage facility at Sirius Resources' Nova nickel project.

Construction of the tailings facility is slated to begin next month and run over five months, and will include a fully lined, single, above ground impoundment with a surrounding 800 000 cubic metre embankment.

This contract follows on the recent award of drill, blast, and mining services at Hanking Gold's Southern Cross operations.

Around 70 workers will be employed on the TSF construction.

No valuation on the contract was given.
