Western Australia continues its reign as the jobs capital of Australia, with record low unemployment according to the latest employment figures released this morning.
Figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics put the State’s unemployment rate at 2.8% – the equal lowest rate that WA has ever achieved.
The rate reached 2.8% on a few occasions last year.
Last month’s unemployment rate for WA stood at 3.3%.
The record low of 2.8% is significantly lower than the national average of 4.0% and better than any other State for the eighth month in a row.
There are now more than 1.13 million people in either full time or part time work in WA, making WA the best State for participation levels.
