Truck rolls over at coal mine

A blast truck has reportedly rolled at the Saraji coal mine.

The incident occurred earlier this week on the 12th, forcing work to be temporarily suspended at the site until the following day.

A BHP spokesperson confirmed the incident, adding that that there were no injuries as a result of the event.

“There was a single driver in the vehicle, who did not sustain any serious injuries as a result of the incident,” the spokesperson said.

“BMA’s primary objective, as it continues to manage the response to this incident, is to ensure the health and safety of our people.

“We notified the appropriate authorities about this incident and have commenced a thorough investigation of it.”
