Trainee or Apprentice of the Year category

Australian Mining has introduced a new category into the 5th Annual Prospect Awards: Trainee or Apprentice of the Year.

AUSTRALIAN Mining has introduced a new category this year: Trainee or Apprentice of the Year.

Finalists in this category will include apprentices or trainees who have significantly effected positive change in mining or minerals processing in Australia during 2007-08.

To be suitable for the category, trainees or apprentices must be employed in the resources industry, and completed [not more than one year previously], or are currently enrolled in, a vocational education and training course that leads to a nationally recognised outcome or qualification.

Judges will assess finalists on their contribution to positive change in the industry.

Entries must be received no later than 27 June 2008 to meet judging and production deadlines. Entry in the Australian Mining Prospect Awards is FREE.
