Komatsu Australia has installed a 350-tonne track press at its new Wacol site, south-west of Brisbane.
The track shop provides pin and bush turnsand replacement, vacuum tests and re-lube for sealed and lubricated tracks, removal and fitment of grouser plates and general repairs.
Dean Gaedtke, Komatsu Australia’s regional GM, Queensland said, “Our Brisbane customers can now know that with our new track press facility, Komatsu can provide them with the best solution for all their undercarriage needs."
The press on the 55,000 square metre facility was supplied by WTC Machinery and is able to work on tracks for some of the biggest available excavators, dozers and hydraulic shovels.
"We understand the importance of keeping our customers’ machines downtime to a minimum, so when undercarriage needs replacement or repair, our new modern track press facility is able to provide a fast and safe service,” said Gaedtke in a statement.
Komatsu's regional headquarters in Wacol were opened in April last year.
