Legend unearths massive nickel-copper discovery

Legend Mining has uncovered a significant nickel-copper discovery at the Rockford project in the Fraser Range, Western Australia.

The result from the third diamond drill hole at area D, which has been renamed Mawson, was 14.9 metres at 1.07 per cent nickel, 0.75 per cent copper and 0.06 per cent cobalt from 115 metres. Read more…

BHP selects Mammoet for South Flank materials transport

Mammoet has started transporting the first heavy components for BHP’s South Flank iron ore project in the Pilbara region, Western Australia.

BHP is using Mammoet trailers to move approximately 1900 items, including prefabricated and modular mine processing plant units across 340 kilometres from Port Hedland to the new site. Read more…

Lynas Corporation has selected Kalgoorlie, Western Australia as the home for its cracking and leaching plant for rare earth minerals processing.
