Three men missing in WA’s Goldfields UPDATE

Three prospectors missing for two days in WA's Goldfields have been found.

Three prospectors have gone missing between Leonora and Laverton in Western Australia’s Goldfields.

The men were reported missing after failing to return from an eight day trip to Pinjin Station, 230km northeast of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Police officers from Leonora conducted a ground search for the men yesterday with the help of station workers, The West Australian reported.

Goldfields-Esperance Insp. Tony Hill said an aerial search would begin today if the trio had not been located.

It comes after a 46-year-old woman and 60-year-old man were reported missing on Sunday night.

The pair were found on Monday morning.

Hill said prospectors in the area needed to ensure they carry locator beacons and satellite phones.
