Thiess has won a major coal seam gas upstream infrastructure contract in Queensland.

Thiess has won a major coal seam gas upstream infrastructure contract in Queensland.
The contract, with QGC, is valued at $136 million and will see Thiess employed on early works project at Miles and Chinchilla in the Surat Basin.
It will install field compressors stations, HDPE gathering pipelines, intermediate pressure gas trunklines, water storage ponds and prepare the sites for additional compressor stations.
Work is scheduled to begin this month and run until March 2012.
The contractor sees this latest work as aiding in securing a place within the LNG sector.
