Oilcareers.com has been named the best job board of 2012 at this year's Global Recruiter Awards.
The awards night is designed to help recruiters tap the booming oil and gas industry, and judges said Oil Careers was the best place for global jobseekers to find new work.
"They have a huge following, good thought leader ideas, and are industry experts with the potential to grow," judges said.
In a statement Oil Careers managing director Mark Guest said there was still record investment in oil and gas in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
"The demand for engineering and technical expertise is ongoing, not only for exploration and production work within the immediate region but in support of the numerous major plays coming out of Australia," he said.
“Across the entire region a large number of disciplines are in increasing demand, including naval architects, subsea engineers, construction advisors, project controls specialists, safety engineers and process engineers."
"In terms of the global talent crunch Asia Pacific may be well poised for the future through the comparably large numbers of new engineering graduates entering the workforce, particularly in Vietnam."
