A worker has been injured at the Superpit when a telehandler tipped over on Friday afternoon last week.
The West Australian reported the SRG contractor was working in an elevated work platform attached to a Manitou telehandler.
However, the WA DMP and Manitou have since confirmed that it was not a Manitou telehandler that was involved in the incident.
It is understood, according to sources close to the incident, that a Cat machine was involved.
The Department of Mines and Petroleum mines safety director Andrew Chaplyn said inspectors would investigate the incident.
“An SRG contractor working in an elevated work platform basket had his foot trapped when the machine moved unexpectedly,” Chaplyn said.
“The employee was taken to Kalgoorlie Hospital for assessment and it is understood his injuries are not serious.”
