Telecommunications firm Swift Networks has won multi-year contracts to provide entertainment content and online services to mines run by Pilbara Minerals, Talison Lithium and Altura Mining.
Swift will upgrade connectivity and digital entertainment services at Pilbara Minerals’ Pilgangoora camp in the Pilbara region. Entertainment services will also be delivered by the provider to Altura’s Pilgangoora camp and Talison Lithium’s North Greenbushes camp in Western Australia for a period of 12 and 24 months, respectively.
The deals are part of a larger move by the entertainment provider to support the growing local lithium industry.
Xavier Kris, chief executive officer of Swift, said he was delighted to support the staff of globally significant miners.
“Our long record of accomplishment in multiple resources contexts is ensuring that Swift is front of mind for the companies driving the next phase of growth in Australian mining,” he said.
“Swift’s momentum in attracting marquee clients is reinforcing its leadership in mine site communications at a time when the company’s prospects in aged care, retirement, hospitality and student accommodation are increasingly attractive.”
