Strike secures port berth for ore exports

Strike Resources has executed an agreement with the Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA) in Western Australia for the export of 200,000 tonnes of iron ore per financial year from the company’s Paulsens East Iron Ore Project.

The contract followed a successful visit by PPA to the Paulsens East mine site in May 2022.

Strike plans to commence hauling Paulsens East direct shipping ore (DSO) into its allocated stockpile bunker at the PPA’s Utah Point hub in July, and is targeting first shipment of about 55,000 tonnes.

The company is also in on-going discussions with its marketing agent and project finance provider, Good Importing International, in relation to securing a sales contract with a Chinese steel mill customer for the maiden DSO export delivery.

Given the high grade of the proposed product and its predominantly lump composition, Strike said it was seeking sales contracts with Chinese steel mills that recognised the superior nature of the iron ore product.
